Between three and six in the morning on March 26th, 2021 the Etowah river in Lumpkin County flooded after five to six inches of rain in the headwaters. Our neighbors--Tom & Vivian helped move the chickens and turkeys, but it was too late to move the tractor, other small machines, and tools when the water kept rising. This picture was taken after the flood had already subsided about two feet and you can see the high water mark on the building. We were so shocked and depressed to see everything, especially the tractor, but many friends supported us. We all appreciate your warm hearts and generosity to support our recovery! Overcoming this adversity has certainly put more meaning to our name "Revival Gardens!" We are currently working on the foundation for a building on higher ground that will better protect our irrigation pump, tractor, and other equipment. We hope you will join us for a garden dinner or other events we have throughout the year.

A 'strainer' of twigs that had caught on the tree!
Many materials floated downriver but a few hung-up on the tractor.
We were thrilled to get our tractor running again after days working on it.
